Privacy policy

appclub (appclub.fyi) helps app developers give away App Store codes. We keep as little as we need to run that, don’t sell it, and don’t use ad trackers or analytics cookies.

What we collect

• Sign in with Apple: a stable Apple user ID, the email Apple shares (often a private relay address) and your name if Apple shares it. We never show that name.
• What you add: your username, display name and description; drops you publish (codes, page text, prices); apps you verify through App Store Connect (the apps, bundle IDs and icons Apple returns); who and which apps you follow; your notification settings.
• What you do: which codes you claimed and when, and reports you send.
• People without an account: developers who publish signed out give an email, which we use to send them their manage link; when a developer emails a code to someone, we keep that email address, the code and their note.
• Cookies: one to keep you signed in, a short-lived one during Apple sign-in, and your light or dark preference stored in your browser.

What’s public

Your username, display name, description, the apps you run and the drops you publish are public. The codes you claim are private to you. Developers see how many of their codes were claimed, not who claimed them.

How we use it

To run appclub: handing out codes fairly (one per person per product, a weekly pass), showing public pages, sending the emails you’ve chosen (change them in notification settings; every email has an unsubscribe link), preventing abuse and handling reports.

Who processes it

• Cloudflare hosts appclub, its database and files, and sends our email.
• Apple handles Sign in with Apple. App details, screenshots and reviews come from Apple’s public App Store pages.
• Discord carries reports to our moderators: what you wrote, your username and the page you reported.

Keeping and deleting it

You can delete your account any time in Your account → Account. That removes your profile, sessions, follows and settings. Codes you claimed stay marked as handed out, so they aren’t given away twice, but no longer point to you. Read notifications are deleted after 90 days.
